The upgrade
Baggeboskolan 2019
In connection with the construction of a new school, Baggeboskolan, we were asked by SAJKLA if we could help upgrade old tables they had. The tables were made of yellowed birch with solid legs and frames, and a veneered top. There were birch chairs available for the tables, also made of yellowed birch.
We upgraded the tables with a DT Linoleum Smokey Blue. We treated the legs and edges of the tables, as well as the chairs, with a blue color NCS S6010-R90B. With the help of our colleague SMEA here in Tibro, we applied a matching blue RAL color to the metal.
The end result is a modern monochromatic expression that now adorns the teachers' room at Baggeboskolan.
Price: 22,000 SEK excluding VAT for a table measuring 240x80 and 8 chairs.

The reconditioning
Conference table Inredia-huset
"We have an old table in the basement of the municipal building that was used as the municipal board meeting table for many years during the 60s, 70s, and 80s. We want to recondition it and use it in Inredia-huset"
Thus began a reuse journey that can now be seen on the 2nd floor of Inrediahuset in Tibro. Over 5 meters long and 160 cm wide at its widest point, we carefully reconditioned it and gave it a new shine without changing its identity.
A forgotten table in a dark basement is now the heart of Inrediahuset. We think the table was worth it!

The tribute!
Estrid Eriksson's school
Estrid Ericson is from Hjo in Skaraborg but is best known as the woman who started Svenskt Tenn. In her memory, we were commissioned by SAJKLA to recondition 40 old worn chairs made of yellowed birch. The chairs were washed, sanded, and stabilized. Damages and scratches were smoothed out, and finally, the chairs were given a new coat of paint with 0.5% white pigment, which gave them a beautiful freshness. As the icing on the cake, they were then dressed in a beautiful fabric that Estrid designed the pattern for in the 1930s, called Elefant.
Now they adorn the teachers' room at Estrid's school in Hjo!
